Forest School success for gglt
GGLT has become the first provider in Bristol to be accredited by the Forest School Association.
This is thanks to the dedication of the trust’s forest school leader Helen Prewett. She has worked hard to fulfil the six principles of the FSA Recognised Forest School Provider scheme, which ensure that high standards of health and safety and education are met.
All three of our primaries have on-site forest school areas and Helen has big plans for expanding her provision once Covid-19 restrictions ease.
Forest school is a learning approach based in a woodland or natural environment with trees, the benefits of which many more of us have come to recognise over the past year.

Spreading a love for the great outdoors
We're very proud that our Trust Forest School Leader, Helen Prewett, was asked to contribute to an outdoor learning feature in the popular national education magazine Teach Primary.
Helen wrote about how you don't need a lot of money to help develop learning beyond classroom walls. GGLT was the first place in Bristol to gain accreditation from the Forest School Association, which was due to Helen's efforts and enthusiasm on behalf of the children and staff at our schools. Thanks Helen!
